Gender-Based Violence Awareness and Counselling Education
Overview
This short course / part-qualification is fully accredited and offered in partnership with WNL Network Training Academy to cover the topic of Gender-Based Violence Awareness and Counselling Education (Counselling as it applies to the GBV area). This short course will be presented through an App called “GBV” developed by Custom App SA.
Rationale
The objective of this short course is to formalise the standard of training offered to individuals who provide supportive counselling in a variety of contexts by providing a part-qualification of the Occupational Certificate: Social Counselling Worker NQF Level 5. As part of the curriculum (code: 263501), unit KT0501 explores the issues of Gender-Based Violence and Counselling Education for individuals from all walks of life.
As a result of this course, individuals, families, community members, faith communities, and workplaces in various sectors will gain an understanding of Gender Based Violence and how counselling can contribute to the solution to this growing problem.
Modules: Total 7 modules
Certification: After successfully completing all modules and passing the assessments, learners will receive a certificate of achievement with a credit value of “1 Credit”, at NQF Level 5.
